Jodi Epstein Rhum was created and raised in IL. She received her B.S. in Education in the University of IL. Jodi has four children, two of whom have POTS and person who has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Having grown up having an undiagnosed mild case of POTS herself, she understands the complexities and frustrations on this syndrome, first hand. Jodi, who can be a former middle school teacher, has devoted herself to POTS Awareness. Jodi has spoken at various schools inside the area advocating for POTS patients as well as educating staff members and school nurses about the syndrome. She has spoken with many doctors and attends conferences looking to further educate herself for the illness. Jodi started a POTS Awareness Site, which presently has over 3,000 members. She continues to be on the news and has been interviewed for a great deal of newspaper articles looking to raise awareness. This book would be a culminating effort to understand through her experiences like a mother, a teacher so that as a patient.
Dr. Svetlana Blitshteyn is often a board-certified neurologist who specializes in POTS and also other autonomic disorders in her private practice in Williamsville, NY. Dr. Blitshteyn completed her neurology residency training at Mayo Clinic and is also currently serving as being a Clinical Assistant Professor on the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She graduated in the University at Buffalo Honors College using a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Summa Cum Laude, and received her Medical Doctor degree through the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Blitshteyn may be awarded numerous awards and honors, including the American Academy of Neurology Student Prize; a Research Award from your Florida Society of Neurology, a US Human Health Award from the American Headache Society as well as a Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare 2011.
